Note: The author has currently no other plans with JVM. I will still fix things for the current stable release if reported back to me until January, 2000. The next big thing is under design, featuring a free 100% JMS compliant implementation. The king is dead. Long live the King. Stay tuned.

What is JVM.
The free solution to distributed communication in java. JVM is 100% free including 16000+ lines source code, docs and examples. Please read the file COPYRIGHT

JVM is designed to use some of the advanced features of java in order to create a friendly interface to a virtual networked community. The main issue here is to enable the creation of complex distributed comunities of entities that are hosted and run on different machines and are able to communicate with each other through the virtual medium. Each application connects to the medium via a extremly simple and easy-to-comprehend Client interface. The connection process is leads finally to the creation of a peer Entity object inside the virtual medium, having a given EntityID, identifying this client application uniquely, inside the whole distributed (global) network composing the medium. Once connected and logged in, a entity is able to send and receive any kind of data and messages from other entities inside the medium. The distributed structure allows for complex applications to be built on top of it.  For more informations and details please browse the JVM Online Manual.  If you are a developer you might be interested in the JVM System API.
