Some thoughts for prospective foreign students If you are a prospective student that would like to apply to our department i encourage you to do so. You will find here a large body of excellent faculty and a vibrant research environment. Moreover, the sandy beaches and ocean-front location are amazing. This being said, please do not email me for the purpose of increasing your chances of getting in. The admission decisions are made by a committee. Of course, feel free to email about legitimate research questions or projects i am involved in, but be positively sure that this will not impact your admission at all.
